Island peak climbing is a starter peak climbing mountain in Nepal. Island Peak (6189 m), also known as Imja-tse is one of the popular climbing peaks in Everest Region with a stunning and extremely frozen West Face which arise from the Lhotse Glacier. For many trekkers, climbing Island peak will be the expanded trekking after Everest base camp trekking.  Island Peak climbing is one of the most highly regarded trekking peaks in Nepal and also it is the first step for most of the climbers before any summit attempt to the high peaks in the Himalaya. This Island peak was first ascended in 1953 by a British expedition team as preparation for the Everest expeditions. From the top of Island peak, you can see a breathtaking panorama of mountains like Mt. Everest Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m), Lhotse Shar (8,383m), Makalu (8475m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablam in the south and aslo you will pass through Chola pass and Kongma La Pass. The trail also offers a chance to get experience of glacial moraines, suspension bridges, monasteries, prayer rocks, and Sagarmatha National Park which includes different varieties of rare flora, fauna and birds. In additional, the warm hospitality offered by the Sherpa people makes your trip more memorable.
